Planet Hunters TESS III: two transiting planets around the bright G dwarf HD 152843

چکیده
We report on the discovery and validation of a two-planet system around bright (V = 8.85 mag) early G dwarf (1.43 $R_{\odot}$, 1.15 $M_{\odot}$, TOI 2319) using data from NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). Three transit events two planets were detected by citizen scientists in month-long TESS light curve (sector 25), as part Planet Hunters project. Modelling transits yields an orbital period \Pb\ radius $3.41 _{ - 0.12 } ^ { + 0.14 }$ $R_{\oplus}$ for inner planet, range 19.26-35 days $5.83 outer which was only seen to once. Each signal independently statistically validated, taking into consideration well ground-based spectroscopic follow-up observations. Radial velocities HARPS-N EXPRES yield tentative detection planet b, whose mass we estimate be $11.56 6.14 6.58 $M_{\oplus}$, allow us place upper limit $27.5$ $M_{\oplus}$ (99 per cent confidence) c. Due brightness host star strong likelihood extended H/He atmosphere both planets, this offers excellent prospects atmospheric characterisation comparative planetology.

HD 147506b: A SUPER-MASSIVE PLANET IN AN ECCENTRIC ORBIT TRANSITING A BRIGHT STAR
We report the discovery of a massive (Mp = 9.04±0.50MJup) planet transiting the bright (V = 8.7) F8 star HD 147506, with an orbital period of 5.63341±0.00013 days and an eccentricity of e = 0.520± 0.010. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 0.982± 0.105RJup. HD 147506b (also coined HAT-P-2b) has a mass about 9 times the average mass of previously-known...
متن کاملSYSTEM PARAMETERS OF THE TRANSITING EXTRASOLAR PLANET HD 209458b
We derive improved system parameters for the HD 209458 system using a model that simultaneously fits both photometric transit and radial velocity observations. The photometry consists of previous Hubble Space Telescope STIS and FGS observations, 12 I-band transits observed between 2001 and 2003 with the Mount Laguna Observatory 1 m telescope, and six Strömgren bþ y transits observed between 200...
متن کاملTransiting Planet Simulations from the All Sky Extrasolar Planets Survey
Many of the planets discovered via the radial velocity technique are hot Jupiters in 3–5 day orbits with ∼ 10% chance of transiting their parent star. However, radial velocity surveys for extra-solar planets generally require substantial amounts of large telescope time in order to monitor a sufficient number of stars due to the single-object capabilities of the spectrograph. A multi-object Dopp...
متن کاملA False Planet around Hd 192263
We present new high-precision Strömgren photometry and Ca ii H and K spectrophotometry of HD 192263. Based on radial velocity variations detected previously by two groups, this K2 V star was thought to host a 0.75 MJup (minimum mass) planetary companion in a 24 day orbit. Our photometric observations reveal periodic variations that match the purported planetary orbital period, while the Ca ii H...
متن کاملA Habitable Planet around HD 85512 ?
Aims. In this study we assess the habitability of HD85512 b, a 3.6 MEarth planet orbiting a K5V star. The radial velocity data and orbital parameters for HD 85512 b have just been published, based on data from the dedicated HARPS-upgrade GTO program. Methods. This paper outlines a simple approach to evaluate habitability of rocky planets from radial velocity (RV) searches by using atmospheric m...
